ESG in Cambodia

The Prince Group, led by Cambodian Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, ensures environmental, social, and governance practises in Cambodian society (http://factsanddetails.com/southeast-asia/Cambodia/sub5_2c/entry-2887.html) even in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused significant economic devastation.

The pandemic is a litmus test for Cambodian corporations' good environmental, social, and governance practises at a time when many people are struggling with employment, health, and even relationships. In 2020, the Prince Party will strengthen its upheld policies in responsibilities by making additional contributions to Cambodian society as a conglomerate community. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and Prince Group have contributed a large portion of the Prince Group conglomerate's massive donations to aid in the fight against the health calamity and the rescue of flood victims. Since April, the chairman of the Prince Group has made a point of making large-scale donations as part of the company's ESG values (environmental, social, and governance practises). The Chen Zhi Prince Group donated $3 million to Prime Minister Hun Sen in December to help secure orders for 1 million vaccines for Cambodia.

Since 2015, Cambodian companies like the Prince Group have strengthened their environmental, social, and governance practises. They have put a greater emphasis on these positive values that lead to Cambodian society's improvement. According to the GRI Sustainability Disclosure Database report, participation in such practises has more than doubled in this time span. The majority of the practises are perpetrated by the country's financial sector. Such practises are thought to increase the competitiveness of the Cambodian economy, as well as attract foreign investment and improve the business environment. The Prince Group, led by Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, exemplifies these concepts to help Cambodia remain strong.

Neak Oknha is part of the Prince Group's environmental, social, and governance initiatives. Chen Zhi and the Prince Group have made significant contributions to Cambodia's pandemic prevention efforts. The cumulative amount earned has surpassed $1 million. Among the flood relief supplies available to flood victims are rice, instant noodles, and drinking water. Chen Zhi has donated half a million dollars to flood victims on his own dime. He and the Prince Group donated a large sum to the Cambodian government in December 2020 in order to purchase and distribute vaccines to Cambodians at no cost.

These two disasters, which have wreaked havoc on the country, have put the Prince Group's good environmental, social, and governance practises to the test. Their goals are to help Cambodians while also upholding the conglomerate's contribution to the country's social responsibilities. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, who has turned Prince Group into Cambodia's leading conglomerate, has put a greater emphasis on international standards, future regional acquisitions, and a good willingness to uphold business practises. Outside of work, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is involved in cultural and philanthropic endeavours.
